Looting is council based.
When an item drops the leading officer will link it in raid. If you need it type /100. The number you roll has no bearing on winning loot. Again, the number rolled DOES NOT matter. It is simply a more visible way of declaring your desire for the item. If only a few people need the item the officers will decide who gets it based on performance, attitude, quality of upgrade etc etc.
If many people want an item, example a ring that every caster could use. The leading officer will ask all those who need the item to whisper the name of the person they feel deserves it most, excluding themselves. We call this Raid Council. The raider with majority whisper votes wins. If we notice trends, like friends always voting for friends, we will disregard that vote.
We keep loot quick and fast, and while we try to be fair as possible mistakes happen. Loot is not our primary goal, we are a progression guild. QQ less or leave.
*Also, by no means should anyone just 'hang' around a boss corpse. We keep moving, Loot master is only one who stays behind. The rest of the raid buffs up and continues clearing trash to next boss. Anyone found hanging around the boss waiting for loot will not be eligible for loot.
