Rules and Regulations Empty
PostSubject: Rules and Regulations   Rules and Regulations EmptyJune 30th 2009, 6:16 pm

Before considering applying to the Darkest Hour guild, be sure you fulfill the following requirements.

1. Darkest Hour is a focused yet laid-back guild. We try to have fun while getting what needs to be accomplished done. Negativity during raids and constant QQ'ing will not be tolerated and will result in a Guild boot if not kept under control.

2. Gear looting is done Loot-Master style by our Guild Master Jagal/or co-GM Wherewilligo, rolls will be asked for but will not determine the winner of the drop, they only signify people who are interested in it. If a guild member wins the roll, then the officers will decide who the drop goes to by Loot Council (gm/co-gm and related officers). Please don't whine if you roll a 98 and didn't get the loot, and dont spend the time that the officers are deciding spamming the raid chat about how you will be replacing a blue or how much you would love to get it, the officers decide how they want to, and attempts to convince them that you deserve it will only come off as annoying. On important class pieces such as trinkets/2H i.e. essential pieces that many need, we will call for raid council; That means either of the following will happen; the rollers will be asked to vote for someone who they think is deserving other than themselves; or the role players (meaning everyone who can use this piece of loot but didnt roll necessarily on it) will be asked to vote. These votes will be psted privately to Jagal. If votes are deemed unfair (voting for friends), a full officer vote will be called for.

3. Ventrilo is a must-have for raiding unless you are given special permissions. During raiding and especially during Boss encounters, raid chat and vent must be kept clear except for officers or people calling out during the fight, any needless yammering about this or that that is not ended on the first warning by an officer will yield harsh punishments. So don't mass emote while in raid, ever.

4. the following addons are a must:

DBM/Bigwigs
Pallypower (for pallys)

5. Everyone is expected to have researched a progression fight; everyone is assumed to know on-farm fights; If you DO NOT KNOW the fight, let us know before pull; we would rather explain the fight than wipe on it for stupid reasons.

6. If you have to leave or go AFK for any reason, make sure you communicate it with the rest of the raid or at least an officer. Unannounced AFK's during ready checks will result in raid boots and if it goes on longer guild boots.

7. Everyone plays their own way, but if you are asked to do something a certain way by an officer or raid leader, do it. The most important thing to us during raids is raid coordination. if you don't feel comfortable with your current role then tell an officer about it, dont go improvising and getting the raid wiped.

8. Be prepared for the raid before it starts, most raids will have invites starting 15 minutes before the start of raid, and summons will begin soon after that. Have whatever reagents, food, pots, etc. that you need BEFORE raid time, we will not wait for you. If you are late and miss the summons you will have to make your own way to the raid, or be booted and replaced.

9. Don't link charts of any sort in raid chat or guild chat, it takes up too much room in chat and is unnecessary . If you want to link it, whisper it.

10. Everyone likes to have fun, but please keep novelty item like Train Tracks out of raid, and use guild chat to post jokes.

11. This is a guild, a team, so any forms of drama or pointless arguing/hating in raid chat or anywhere will be met with zero tolerance, treat your fellow guildmates like brothers.

12. Finally, play your class and role to the best of your ability, as long as you do that and have the capacity to follow simple instructions, you will go far in this guild. Good luck and hope to see you soon.

To prove you have read through these rules, when you post your application, include the word Hourglass at the end of your post.
